KITSUMKALUM Cemetery

The Kitsumkalum First Nations Cemetery, is located at Kitsumkalum on highway 16, just east of Terrace, British Columbia. Permission to transcribe was kindly given by Chief Councillor, Dianne Collins.

This cemetery has been moved twice, once when the railway came through, about 1911, and again when the highway came through. The only record is the acutal headstones. The unknowns may not have been known when the cemetery was moved the first time, due to the semi-nomadic nature of the First Nations in those early years.
