WELCOME TO MY CEMETERY SITE

From September 1998 to March 1999 I was working in the Terrace, British Columbia, Canada area for the telephone company, Telus. While there I decided to index and record the local cemeteries. It's been a time consuming task and I appologize for not getting the info online sooner. The series includes; Terrace Pioneer Cemetery, Terrace Municipal Cemetery, Kitimat Cemetery (transferred to Connie Everett in Kitimat), Kitsumkalum Cemetery, New Town Kitselas Cemetery and New Hazelton Cemetery. This site only provides 20Mb, so all of these might not fit, however, I may be able to link several sites together. The format I am trying to maintain is to provide a list of internments with a link to an inscription if there is one. So check back often as I will update as much as I can. In the inscriptions I have tried to have the layout as it appears on the actual marker. Not having a digital camera at the time. Plot numbers if known are also shown.

The first cemetery is New Hazelton, British Columbia. Transcribed 13 August 1999. Located between Smithers and Terrace on highway 16, Hazelton was the farthest stop up the Skeena River for the river boats and was an important outfitter town during the gold rush years. New Hazelton is situated a few kilometres west of Hazelton. Turn north of the highway at the tourist information centre and drive approximately 1/2 kilometre, turn west, drive approximately another 1/2 kilometre, then turn south up a slight hill and the cemetery is to the west.
